As Movember comes to a close, we’re pleased to announce that our Mojito deal has so far contributed £153 to changing the face of men’s health.

We would like this to be in excess of £200 by the time we bring the fund raising to a close, so with the Movember Ball on Friday we’re hopeful it can be done. After all as purveyors of the finest cocktails in town (because we train the mixologists to a high standard and only use premium spirits, fresh fruit not purees, juices pressed from actual fruit not concentrates, fine spices and quality ingredients) in both Ronnie’s and Ron Tiki Bar we know you are getting great value. In addition the Movember contribution costs you no extra money; we simply donate it from the normal price. In other words it’s an easy and painless way of donating to a worthwhile cause.
We’re also going to be making some Mini Mojito shots as well which will also contribute to the cause. These will be available on both Friday and Saturday nights, with the target of boosting the Movember Mojito fund raising to at least £300.

To add to the fun Steeve Mac will be DJ-ing the Movember Ball in Ronnie’s, but the event will and in fact should start a lot earlier in Ron Tiki Bar where amongst the Mojitos there’s flaming Zombies, Volcano bowls, Pina Coladas, Navy Grog and 25 or so different rums nestling alongside the Ron Tiki Bar Homebrew, Red Stripe and the like.
On Saturday night DJ Jutski will be hosting the usual monthly opener Get Lei’d in Ron Tiki Bar with James Bright looking after Ronnie’s Bar with his brilliant Ibiza and Nu Disco infused dance music to compliment the usual Saturday night mix of tunes from funk to indie. What all of our DJs have in common is they play great music. Nothing cheesy, just great tunes to suit the environment and the people who choose to frequent the bars. Quality music to accompany the nice people, quality drinks and superb location I suppose. And there’s space to dance as well!

So I’m really looking forward to this weekend.

Just a couple of extra things….

On Saturday night we’ve been invited to conduct a Cocktail Masterclass for a hen party at a four star hotel not so far away from here. Not only is this an endorsement of the quality and reputation Ronnie’s and Ron Tiki Bar’s drinks have within the region (not just in Macc); it also enables us to push a bit of Tiki culture in to new areas. This is also something we can do for you either in one of the bars or in a location to suit you. Contact me directly on info@ronnies-bar.co.uk and let us create an evening you’ll talk about for a long time after.

We’re now moving into the Christmas period. We’ve resisted the urge to put up the decorations too early, but next week we’re on the case. Ronnie’s as you know is open late every night of the week. From the 18th December through to New Year’s Eve there are DJs on every night and Ron Tiki Bar will be open every night as well. Ronnie’s is a great venue for your Christmas Party (we do a mean buffet) and even better for your after party, that is once you’ve had the sit down meal somewhere, just come down to Ronnie’s to finish the event off with some great tunes, drinks and friendly service.

New Years Eve this year will be even better than usual. Because we’re offering two venues for the price of one with one big party of brilliant music (DJ Jutski in Ron Tiki Bar and Lee Fletcher in Ronnie’s), a midnight countdown, some free shots amongst the great drinks and the best location in town. Just dance, drink, smoke (if that’s what you do) & be happy!
