This Week at Ronnie’s

Posted on July 20, 2011 in Ronnie's News

The weekend just gone was fantastic despite the weather, the music was great, the atmosphere was exceptional and the new additional lighting under our awning looked superb.

I just want to say a word about the charity prize draw we hosted on Friday which was very well attended and raised several hundred pounds for the Alder Hey Imagine appeal. Gill who organised it managed to raffle some great prizes and deserve a huge round of applause for her hard work. And to all of those who turned up thanks for your support on this.

On to this week, we have another great one lined up

Tuesday – Fans of live music, look no further. It’s our open mic night here at Ronnie’s Bar. Talented musicians in an intimate setting. We think it’s the best night in town.

Wednesday – Classic cocktail night here at Ronnie’s. Is the week dragging and it’s only Wednesday? Join us for a classic cocktail from the best premium list in Cheshire, and it’ll feel like the weekend is already here.

Thursday – Double points for our clubcard holders every Thursday night give you the chance to earn your free drink that little bit quicker as you listen to the best in Indie music.

Friday – Filthy Underground Kings is back as Bert and Brighty bring us their new Nu Disco night.

Saturday – Steeve Mac is here with his Sunshine Groove Thing. The best Saturday night in town and open late into Sunday morning.

Sunday – Chill out at the end of the weekend here at Ronnie’s Bar.

The feedback on our new awning has been tremendous. It really has transformed the courtyard; somehow the place looks bigger but with an even better atmosphere.

So my cocktail of the week this week is the superb Raspberry and Elderflower Collins, which is just a fantastic long refreshing Smirnoff Black based cocktail shaken over ice with raspberry liqueur and elderflower cordial, garnished with some fresh raspberries. Marvellous.

See you soon

For great quality late night entertainment

PS We have more superb charity events over the next couple of months, the first of those is a rather fantastic announcement really. The awesome Virginmarys supported by the stunning Butterfly Jam will be performing at Ronnie’s on Saturday 13th August to raise funds for the mental health charity Self Medication.

Watch out for details and ticket information. It will be announced in this week’s Macc Express and we will be releasing further details shortly. I expect it to sell out fast!

“I’m a regular out and about in Macclesfield on a Saturday night and Ronnie’s is hands down the best atmosphere in town. Great when they have live music too. Gary B.
