This week at Ronnie’s

Once again I have witnessed a great evening of quality live music at Ronnie’s. Yesterday Rough Twist and Hot Vestry battled it out to be Macclesfield’s representatives in the national Rock The House competition.

A truly appreciative audience were treated to some excellent live performances with Rough Twist winning based on the audience votes yesterday combined with the results from our online poll (which is closed now by the way).  I feel that Rough Twist (who will be performing again at Ronnie’s next week) will go a long way in this competition.

This week at Ronnie’s though we have more fantastic entertainment lined up:

Tuesday – It’s the world famous Ronnie’s Open Mic night. We have some of the best musicians in town coming along to perform just because they love performing. It’s usually a cracking atmosphere so come along and see what you are missing if you’ve not been down before. And we’ll also have the Real v Barca match on the screend.

Wednesday – It’s Ronnie’s very Classic Cocktail Wednesday. We have our range of classic cocktails available for 2 4 £10 for clubcard holders. Plus United v Shalke on the screens.

Thursday – The weekend started here last week and the week before, so why break the habit of a fortnight! We’ve got Steeve Mac on DJ duties and we’re open until late. Thursday is the new Friday after all.

Friday – If Thursday is the new Friday then welcome to Friday classic. AKA Friday…. DJ’s Bert and Brighty are providing the music in the most enjoyable Friday night in town. Celebrate Wills and Kate’s one week anniversary if you like, but wy do it anywhere else?

Saturday – Steeve Mac is back for his Sunshine Groove Thing. The weekend is in full swing and Ronnie’s is the place to be.

Sunday – Chill out with Steeve Mac’s Sunshine Groove Thing Part Two. No Bank Holiday this weekend.. So drown your ‘back to work’ sorrows at Duke’s Court.

Finally I just need to remind you that the new Ronnie’s Club Card accumulates points and those points can be redeemed on free drinks at Ronnie’s (it works in exactly the same way as a Tesco card). So if you haven’t already got one, go here and apply for one.

See you soon

Ronnie

PS my cocktail of the week is a Kraken Sours. The Kraken is a fabulous spiced rum that is dark, rich, smooth and sweet with hints of caramel, molasses and vanilla. The taste expolsion with the fresh citrus juices is immense. Well worth trying. And of course its 2 for ten pounds with a Ronnie’s Club Card and that also will give you 10 points on your card balance. A double win for a great drink!PPS The Kraken also makes a fantastic bomb alternative to Jagermeister. Again well worth trying!
