This Week at Ronnies

Posted on March 15, 2011 in Ronnie's News

This week at Ronnie’s…..

It was a fantastic week of quality entertainment last week at Ronnie’s. The DJs were on great form and the live music was exceptional. Carus Thompson on Saturday night was sensational and the Battle of the Bands heat on Sunday was unbelievably good. All four bands performed superbly and generated a great atmosphere. It was a very hard call but two bands had to go through to the finals and two had to be disappointed this time. So congratulations to Zap Zap Zap and The Tasers and commiserations ‘Hot Vestry’ and ‘Simple Confessions.

I would like to say that the quality of the Battle of the Bands so far has been amazing. There will no doubt be some further twists and shouts along the way to the eventual winners but whoever wins they will have well and truly earned the right to perform at Friends of Mine in May.

On to this week then, you’ll see the quality entertainment never stops……

Tuesday – Our ever-popular Open Mic nightis back. Come down and while away the evening listening to some of the best live musicians Macclesfield has to offer.

Wednesday – Live football on the big screens.

Thursday – Ronnie’s St Patrick’s Day Party with Steeve ‘O’Macc’. See our special drink offer below.

Friday – DJ’s Bert and Brighty are back to take us into the weekend.

Saturday – Live football in the afternoon and then Steeve Mac is back.

Sunday – It’s heat three of the fantastic FOMFEST Battle of the Bands.

Jack Trainer: 4:00-4:45pm

Addy Oldman: 5:00-5:45pm

Rich House + Friends 6:00-6:45pm

Steller: 7:00-7:45pm

And a final note, we are also assisting in the Rock The House competition initiated to promote the virtues of a career in music and to highlight the importance and need of intellectual property rights to performing artists. Full details of the initiative can be found at Rock The House website but any bands interested in applying for the opportunity of winning a load of Yamaha gear, make a CD, have a proper photo shoot, make a video, performing at the House of Commons to senior music industry folk (and some MPs), etc should download the application form and get involved. Closing date for entries is 31st March 2011.

Special Offer

In honour of St Patrick’s Day, Ronnie’s is offering clubcard holders a great value on Mini Guinness – A Tia Maria and Baileys shot – on offer for £15 for six.

See you soon
