What’s on this week at Ronnie’s Bar plus affordable luxuries & ignoring the media…

Posted on February 15, 2011 in Ronnie's News

The media is, as usual full of doom and gloom. It seems that our default position as a nation is defensive and always looking inwards. I read somewhere that when times are hard 90% of the news is negative, when times are good 80% of the news is negative, so the overriding position is always a negative perspective.

I’ve been through a number of boom times and recessions before and have to agree with that summation of the bad news culture we live in. One thing that always encourages me is that the quality late night entertainment market always seems to survive whatever the circumstances. People will always want to go out and party whether its to forget or to celebrate. It seems our spirit cannot be broken despite the constant media negativity.

At Ronnie’s we aim to provide great entertainment every night of the week, and our dedication to quality drinks with premium and super premium products backed up with excellent service offers affordable luxuries whether times are good or bad.

So this week we’ve got the following top class entertainment creating the amazing atmosphere…..

Tuesday – We have the famous Ronnie’s Bar Open Mic Night. Come along and watch some of the best musicians in Macclesfield in action. And we’ll also have Manchester City’s Europa League match on the screens.

Wednesday – More live European football as Barcelona visit London to face Arsenal in the Champions League

Thursday – The weekend starts early at Ronnie’s as Steeve Mac takes us into Friday morning. No one does any work on Friday anyway, right?

Friday – DJ’s Bert and Brighty are here at Ronnie’s Bar.

Saturday – More live football in the FA Cup as Manchester United face Crawley in the ultimate David v Goliath battle after the early match of Chelsea v Everton.

Sunday – Live FA Cup football as Manchester City take on Notts County and Leyton Orient entertain Arsenal.

Then that evening also getting ready for FOMFEST, we have the fantastic Rough Twist, live and for free in Duke’s Court. Don’t miss it.

As an extra special treat for fans of live music we’ve also got a pair of Friends of Mine Festival tickets to give away for free. The Festival runs from May 20-22 and will be a fantastic event of quality live music. So if you fancy winning our free tickets all you have to do is come into the bar, spend £10 in one transaction before 10pm any night of the week and we’ll enter you into the prize draw. The draw is on 7th March so enter as many times as you want before then.

If you also fancy buying tickets for Friends of Mine, then buy them through Ronnie’s Bar as we’ve negotiated a special rate allowing you to save some money.
