Ronnie’s Bar in Duke’s Court, Macclesfield is to host a charity music festival on Sunday 26th September.

The event, which is being held in aid of Songs for Heroes will start at 2pm through to 10pm and will feature seven of the best and brightest local bands that Macclesfield has to offer.

Rough Twist, Old Yellow, We Walk in Straight Lines, Steller, Glass Ankle, Beautiful Mess and Gemma Fox will all be performing live in the Courtyard on the best sound-system in Macclesfield.

There will also be a barbecue available on the day.

Bar owner Ronnie Rees said: “This is clearly a very good cause and it is one we were more than happy to help out.

“Here at Ronnie’s Bar we have invested a lot of money and effort into ensuring we can host the best live music events in the town and we strongly believe that hosting charity events such as these are an important part of our commitment to the wider community.”

Tickets are £6 and available from Margin Music and Ronnie’s Bar as well as being sold on the day.

Help for Heroes was founded by Bryn and Emma Parry in October 2007 out of a desire to help the wounded Servicemen and women returning from Afghanistan and Iraq and provides direct, practical support to those injured in current conflicts.
